The Spend reported in the overall performance report is higher than my manual Cost per 1000 Impressions calculation. Why?

  • The Overall Performance Spend calculation includes ALL of the impressions that are served for your account, however the Impressions count, or any other metric, does not include any Control Group data.
  • Control Groups are meant to be used so that SteelHouse is showing the incremental value being brought to your business, this is done by serving Red Cross ads to a percentage of your users and then serving actual SteelHouse creatives to the other larger percentage of your users, then comparing the conversion metrics of the two groups.
  • We do not include the Control Group data in the data reporting, because it will skew the performance of your account and not show you how your SteelHouse advertising efforts are performing.
